Add another unique Lowcountry eatery to the list.
Crust opened its doors on Tuesday in James Island next to Zia Taqueria on Maybank Highway. The specialty brick-oven pizza shop was founded by Dusty Chorvat (formerly of Vespa on Daniel Island) and offers a wide range of pizza combinations, as well as more commonly recognized pies.
Chorvat's first menu includes nine specialty pizza choices, as well as a variety of other favorites such as Arancini and paninis. The restaurant also boasts 20 beers on tap and wine by the glass and the bottle.
Oh, and for dessert: wood-fired s'mores.
